About the Project

TWEAK Think, Write, Execute: mAstering Instructions for humans and Knowledge systems (AI) is an Erasmus+ project designed to improve structured communication and core basic skills in children aged 4 to 12. Through an innovative, easy-to-adapt methodology, TWEAK aims to strengthen not only literacy and mathematics, but also social inclusion, emotional regulation, and “learning how to learn.”

A unique feature of the TWEAK methodology is that it introduces children to the concept of artificial intelligence (AI) and teaches them how to communicate effectively both with each other and with AI systems—without using computers or digital devices. By focusing on the fundamentals of clear instruction and structured thinking, the project prepares young learners for the digital world while keeping activities fully analog and inclusive.

Acknowledgments

We would like to thank all consortium partners, educators, families, and supporters who contributed their time and expertise to the development and submission of the TWEAK proposal. Your collaboration and commitment to advancing education are greatly appreciated.

What We Learned

The TWEAK evaluation provided valuable external feedback regarding:

  • The need for stronger institutional alignment at national level

  • Clearer integration between pilot environments and formal partnership structures

  • A more balanced geographical and pedagogical representation

  • Greater policy anchoring and long-term sustainability planning

These insights have been instrumental in refining the conceptual and structural foundations of TWEAK.

We remain confident in the pedagogical strength of the core idea and its relevance to European priorities on basic skills, structured thinking, and responsible AI awareness in education.

Next Steps

Our next phase includes:

  • Building a more education-centred consortium, including institutions directly involved in teacher training and curriculum development

  • Strengthening formal commitments with pilot schools within participating countries

  • Refining the policy and sustainability framework

  • Consolidating the transnational dimension and impact strategy

We believe that the TWEAK concept addresses a critical educational need in Europe: teaching children how to think clearly, communicate precisely, and interact responsibly with emerging knowledge systems.

We are actively exploring future funding opportunities and new partnerships to relaunch the initiative with a stronger structural foundation.
