I’m Matias Ruggieri, a scientist turned consultant and the founder of Fusionar, a consulting firm dedicated to helping organizations secure European funding for innovative and impactful projects. I founded Fusionar with the vision of merging knowledge, expertise, and ideas across disciplines to create meaningful solutions for a sustainable future. Drawing from my diverse academic and professional background, I realized the power of connecting people and concepts to drive progress, and Fusionar was born to bring that vision to life.
I am deeply committed to addressing environmental challenges, improving efficiency, and advancing renewable energy solutions. These areas are not just professional interests but personal values that inspire me to work on projects aligned with sustainability and innovation. My Journey
My academic path began at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I obtained a diploma in Biological Sciences. This foundation sparked my passion for research and collaboration, leading me to secure national grants that further developed my scientific and project management skills.
I then moved to Germany to pursue a doctorate in Molecular Immunology at the University of Freiburg. My PhD research focused on immune system cells, resulting in high-impact publications that expanded my expertise in cutting-edge scientific approaches. Following this, I broadened my horizons through postdoctoral research, gaining valuable experience in international collaborations and grant coordination.
After my academic career, I briefly worked at a consulting firm specializing in helping organizations apply for European Union funding. Although my time there was short, it provided me with invaluable insights into the consulting world, particularly in proposal writing and consortium management. This experience deepened my understanding of the complexities of EU funding programs and inspired me to establish Fusionar.
